Past:

The Summer Set all started when the two brothers Stephen and John Gomez decided to start a band. Stephen asked his good friend Jess if she would like to play drums. The three of them played in a band called Last Call For Camden with Kennedy Brock (now in the band The Maine) and guitarist Weston Michl. They only released one album before they broke up. Soon they placed an ad on MySpace for a lead singer. Sure enough Brian was the first to reply. Between six to eight months later, Josh was added to the band. They released two EPs “Love the Love You Have” and “In Color” in 2007. In 2008 they signed to Militia Records and set out their third EP “Meet Me on the Left Coast”. Next they put out their first full length album “Love Like This” with Fearless Records in 2009, and later put out “Love Like Swift” which was cover songs by Taylor Swift. Next they played in Warped Tour 2010. After in early 2011 they toured on the Dirty Work Tour with Hey Monday, Yellowcard, and headliners All Time Low. “Everything’s Fine” was released on July 19th, 2011. They preformed songs from this album on The Friday is Forever Tour with We The Kings, Action Item, Hot Chile Rae, and The Downtown Fiction. Next they went on a co-headlining tour with The Cab, Everything’s Fine Sympathy Solider.

Present:

TSS recently moved in to “Casa de Summer Set” to write and record their new album

Future:

It is rumored they will be back on tour in the winter. There are no teaser dates for the album.
